2016 Institute on Teaching and Mentoring will be held October 27-October 30 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel in Tampa, Florida.
The Institute on Teaching and Mentoring is the largest gathering of minority Ph.D. scholars in the country. For 20 years, the Institute has provided workshops, recruitment and networking opportunities to give Ph.D. scholars the tools to enter higher education. The goal is to promote the continued importance of faculty diversity in the nation's universities.
Registration for the 23rd Annual Institute for select groups began June 6, 2016. Institute attendance is by invitation only for SREB-State Doctoral Scholars, the National Institutes of Health (Bridges to the Professoriate NIGMS-MARC scholars), the National Science Foundation (Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate scholars), the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation scholars and the Office of Federal TRIO Programs, United States Department of Education (Ronald E. McNair Program scholars). You must have a login ID and password to register for the Institute.
